Xi'an

I might have showed you the terra cottas, but here's the rest of the pictures from Xi'an.

Every hostel should have a pet, and this is Doudou the turtle - of course named after Doudou the hostel dog in Beijing. First he didn't like me, but after a few days we were best friends!

Mum really wanted a picture of me and Greg, my temporary travel buddy - so let me introduce to you mr Greg from Liverpool. Look how tanned I was on that picture! Love it!

Traffic jam by the Bell tower.

Bell tower!

Drum tower drums.

So, if you never have been in China, how will you imagine China? Bustling? Lot of noise? People everywhere? Funny smells? Cheap food everywhere? Welcome to the Muslim quarter everything you thought China will be; the most Chinese place in China.

The Drum tower and the Muslim quarter was situated right next to each other.

Bell tower by night - a beautiful sight.

South gate of the city wall.

The city wall which stretches around the old city is a long, broad way. First we though about walking around it, it didn't look too long on the map, but the moment we found out they had bicycle rent up there, we decided to rest our legs and bike the whole way. If you wondered, the wall is 13,6 km long and it took us 95 mins to get around it - I'm glad we didn't walk!

Anthony and Greg on the fantastically terrible bikes.

Anthony looks happy even though when we were finished our asses hurt because of the bumpy way.

Right next to the hostel there was a dumpling restaurant which had the best foods, and the dumplings was the freshest ever made!

The finished dumplings with the dipping sauce.

Yummy!
