A trip to Tianjin

After living in Wudaokou, Beijing, for almost half a year without even concidering go anywhere else, Ting and I yesterday decided to go to Tianjin. Tianjin is known for being the harbour of Beijing, but as we realized when we arrived, Tianjin is 60 kms from the ocean. Neither of us had heard anything of the city before, so the both of us thought "why not, lets go". The train, which travels with the speed of 300 km/h, took only half an hour.

We found a BIG clock in Tianjin and we had to, of course, take a picture of it!

And I found a bridge and a river! First time in months I've seen water other places than in my shower.

I'm trying to blend in again - but does it work this time?

He was so hot I just had to kiss him. You know.

Ting found Big Ben and for a short moment she thought she was in London.

Another bridge. This time a big one.

A golden Chinese lady - gotta love it!

A Titanic moment with myself.

Yes, I admitt it, we ended up at Helen's and guess who we met? Our favorite Chinese; Shuaige! He was very nice to us and gave Ting some food (she was starving like always) and gave me some tea. Woho.

Rule nr. 1: If you go to Helen's you write your name on the wall.

Rule nr. 2: You can write your name on the wall twice if you want to!

And this is how Helen's looks like in Tianjin. Pretty much the same as in WDK if you ask me.

I almost forgot: in Tianjin all the taxis are blue. Funny huh?

Ting at the train station ready to go home to Beijing.

No trip without a funny picture!
