I live in a very great hostel near Dongzhimen; the rooms are clean, it's nice and air conditioned and the staff feeds me with all the strangest things in the world. First it was a bean thingie with rice, than some strange drink, but nothing topped yesterday's century egg. Ugh. Actually, it didn't taste that bad, it just tasted like an unboiled egg with ammonia, but the colour was the worst - brown, black and dark green. Apparently very health. While I eat it there was a Finn laughing at me, so I took revenge and forced him to eat it as well.
My stay at this hostel is coming to an end, which is a problem. Originally I was supposed to stay at some of the new student's place in Wudaokou, but all of a sudden I couldn't any more, and now I don't have a place to stay. Most of the hostels in Beijing is booked, it's weekend, but I have a back up plan; the Finn, Ville Matti, is leaving one day before he supposed to, so I can take his bed, and the staff here has offered me a staff bed. Isn't that nice of them? Any how, I'm going hostel hunting today and I certainly will find a place to stay. No worries.
Oh, I almost forgot - we have a dog at the hostel. He's so nice, a cute little puppy. First the told us it was the manager's dog, but then they changed the story; it's a stay dog that one day, a couple of day's before I came, just walked in here and it has stayed here ever since. They called it 豆豆 (Bean-bean). He absolutely loves me and stalks me everywhere I go.
And this is a treat - safety in China. The air con was broken at Christopher's room, so some guys came and fixed it. This is in the 12th floor and the guy you're seeing is holding a guy that hangs out of the window.
