After a very rainy wednesday, Lars and I yesterday went to the rice terraces of Longji. Least to say a spectacualr view. We couldn't really decide wether it was fantacy or an amazing fairytale.
Lars and I are adventurers, so we decided to go the oposite way of all the tourist. Sounds great? It was great, other that we walked uphill for the first 2,5 hours! We didn't meet a single tourist, the only ones we met were people from the villages around.
Our plan was to go from No. 3 to No. 1 (a tourist fiendly way to name the villages), and it didn't look very long. It was very, very long! Did I mention it was uphil? Yes, it was! There was some signs along the way, but after a while we came to a T-junction, were we couldn't agree on the way, so we walked separate ways; he walked more uphill, I walked straight forward. After a while I met to native ladies (no, there were not Han Chinese, they were members of the majority which never cut their hair) and asked for the right way. I was, of course, right, so I called Lars and told him. He was all like "no way, this have to be the right way".
I eventually found some other people from the tour at a restaurant and sat down with them and ate. Who do you think came tem minutes later? Yap, Lars. And he looked pretty tired..!
After comming home, we both realized we were quite sunburned. I'm bad, but Lars' sunburn is worse!
